Despite Being A Defensive Coach, Titans Mike Vrabel Knows A Thing Or Twelve (TDs) About Offense

In this story:
NASHVILLE - When Mike Vrabel talks to players on the practice field, he's coming from a position of knowledge, having been a player in this league for 12 seasons, where he was part of three Super Bowl championships.
As a starting linebacker for the New England Patriots for eight seasons, Vrabel made a name for himself as a tough, hard-nosed hitter who occasionally played a bit of offense as a tight end with a guy named Tom Brady.
Nothing I'm writing here is a secret or a surprise to long-time NFL fans or those of the Tennessee Titans, who have embraced their head coach for his tough, no-nonsense, winning ways.
However, when you see Vrabel in practice working with the offense, you see a coach doing it passionately because he is among one of the most accomplished receivers in the league regarding his number of targets and reception-to-touchdown ratio.

As a part-time tight end for the Patriots and then Chiefs, Vrabel was targeted 14 times as a receiver, collecting 12 receptions for touchdowns and a total of 14 yards.
The video above shows all twelve of his touchdown receptions, with a career-high three in 2005.
So why write this now?
Well, it's a slow news day at the moment, and having this video to show all of Vrabel's best offensive plays seemed like a good thing to share on a Friday.
Enjoy!
