NASHVILLE — The Tennessee Titans will continue to craft their 2023 roster throughout the summer months. That could include bringing in a big name like DeAndre Hopkins for a visit or working out a long-time veteran player for a depth spot. According to a report from Aaron Wilson, the latter is exactly what the Titans have done recently when they got a look at Michael Brockers.

Brockers has played 11 seasons in the NFL as an interior defensive lineman. A monster of a man, Brockers is 6-foot-5 and 297 pounds. His size adds to his experience as Brockers has played 160 games in those 11 seasons and start all of them, but three. Brockers played in 6 games with the Detroit Lions in 2022, but started 16 games for the Lions in 2021.

Brockers is 32 years old, but even at his age, the role he would be asked to play would be perfect. The Titans need some additional depth on the defensive line. Their starting group appears to be intact, but outside of that things are uncertain.

The Titans have Jeffery Simmons, Denico Autry and Teair Tart in the first group, but behind them you'll find questions. Mostly young players, the backup group includes Naquan Jones, Curtis Brooks, Tyler Shelvin, TK McLendon, and Jayden Peevy. All players going into year 3 or earlier.

The Titans did recently add a 7-year veteran on the defensive line in Jaleel Johnson. A sign the Titans could be looking for more veteran help. They have lost quite a few veterans on the defensive line that player critical bench roles in 2022 like DeMarcus Walker, Mario Edwards and Kevin Strong.

Brockers only completed a workout though and hasn't been signed at this point. It could be an addition the Titans want to make right before training camp rather than at this moment. It also could be a move the Titans don't make at all, but regardless the interest in adding veterans on the defensive line clearly remains.
