This Could Be Titans Next Move After Hiring Brian Daboll

In this story:
The Tennessee Titans are adding to their coaching staff by naming Brian Daboll as their next offensive coordinator.
Daboll takes over for Nick Holz, who was not retained by Robert Saleh when he was named as their head coach. Daboll and Saleh have not worked together in the past, so there is a likelihood that Daboll will be in charge of bringing on the rest of the offensive staff. This means the Titans could hire Shea Tierney as their next quarterbacks coach.

Titans Could Make Shea Tierney Their QB Coach
Tierney, 39, began his coaching career back in 2011 with NC State as a graduate assistant. Following his time in Raleigh, he made his jump to the NFL joining the Philadelphia Eagles as an analyst and coaching intern. He served in that role for three years before heading back to college at the University of Alabama. Tierney was an analyst for two years there, and in his final season in Tuscaloosa, he met Daboll, who was the offensive coordinator.
Daboll and Tierney built a solid relationship, and when Daboll went back to the NFL to join the Buffalo Bills, Tierney followed him. For two seasons, Tierney was an assistant for the offense before moving to the assistant quarterback's coach position from 2020 to 2021. When Daboll was hired as the head coach of the New York Giants, Tierney followed him again for a second time to East Rutherford to be the quarterbacks coach.
Tierney is still possibly sticking with the Giants, but with a coaching change there from Daboll to John Harbaugh, it's possible that Tierney could be looking for a fresh start. Joining the Titans would give Tierney the opportunity to work with number one overall pick Cam Ward, and that could be the next path for his development.
Considering the fact that he has worked with quarterbacks like Josh Allen, Daniel Jones and Jaxson Dart, he has experience working with some of the league's top signal callers. That could be exactly what the Titans need as Ward goes into his second season in the NFL.
Having the offensive coordinator and quarterback's coach on the same page would be ideal. It would benefit the Titans to add Tierney to the coaching staff and allow him to work with Ward. Tierney could find a way to help unlock some skills in Ward's game that will help him develop into a top-tier quarterback.
