The Tennessee Titans will cap off their preseason on Friday night against the New England Patriots and it's the last live game action the team will get before the regular season. That makes the stakes as high as possible for those fighting for a roster spot.

Some players have done well for themselves during this preseason slate and a solid performance against the Patriots could be the final touch they need to solidify a roster spot.

Mason Kinsey - Wide Receiver

This is Kinsey's third season with the Titans, but Kinsey has never been a fixture on the roster during that time. He has mostly been on the practice squad and has only gotten to play in three games in the past two seasons.

This year could be different though. With injuries to Kyle Philips and Treylon Burks, Kinsey has a chance to actually make the initial 53-man roster. Especially with Philips out, Kinsey has a chance to slide into Philip's role as they have a similar skillset.

Kinsey will need to continue to make plays as a receiver, but he really needs to show he can be trusted on special teams as well. Whether as a returner or in coverage. If Kinsey can do that, he has a chance to confirm his roster spot out of training camp for the first time.

Caleb Murphy - Outside Linebacker

Murphy has been a preseason star for the Titans, racking up three sacks in two games. If Murphy comes out and puts up a few more it will be impossible for the Titans to keep him off the team.

For starters, Murphy had 40 sacks combined in the last two seasons he played in college. Even if it was at a lower level of college ball, clearly his pass rushing prowess translates in some way and the Titans can't give up a chance to keep that development going.

Also, the Titans don't have depth at the position. Outside of Harold Landry, Rashad Weaver and Arden Key, no one is a sure thing for the roster or even a sure thing to be a contributing NFL player. Sam Okuayinonu and fellow rookie Thomas Rush aren't the most inspiring alternatives.

Eric Garror - Cornerback

Garror has played in the slot and outside on defense. He has returned kicks and punts. There is a versatility to Garror that head coach Mike Vrabel seems to be looking for. If Garror continues to show that in Friday's game, it could lock him into the roster.

Garror plays with great physicality and demeanor. He may be smaller than most NFL players at only 5-foot-8, but he clearly doesn't let that fact intimidate or dissuade him. Garror brings a lot to the table that the Titans look for.
