Bills defensive lineman Ed Oliver was arrested Saturday night on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Oliver was pulled over on state Highway 242 in his hometown of Houston with an open beer between his legs. The 22-year old failed a field sobriety test and a pistol was also found in his car.

Police were notified after a 911 caller reported a Ford pickup hauling a trailer with a dune buggy on it that was "failing to maintain a lane and driving dangerously"

Oliver underwent a mandatory blood draw before being transported to Montgomery County Jail. Both charges are misdemeanors, according to the jail's website.

The Bills released a statement saying, "We are aware of the situation and we are gathering more information. we will have no further comment at this point."

Oliver was the 9th overall pick in last year's NFL Draft, and recorded 43 tackles and five sacks in his rookie season.
