Colin Kaepernick has signed with Disney to begin a docuseries that will highlight his moments in the NFL to being an activist. Kaepernick had this to say in a statement. "I am excited to announce this historic partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers, and producers, and to inspire the youth with compelling and authentic perspectives. 

I look forward to sharing the docuseries on my life story, in addition to many other culturally impactful projects we are developing." Back in 2016, Kaepernick took major heat from the general public for taking a knee on the sidelines during the national anthem at NFL games. Kaepernick took this stance to raise awareness of social injustice and police brutality. Kaepernick has been out of the league ever since. With this new partnership, the platform will provide a new platform to showcase the work of black and brown directors and producers.
