Some NFL franchises have already announced they will not have fans in attendance for the 2020 season, but those who do will require fans to wear face coverings at games.

NFL Spokesman Brian McCarthy tweeted Wednesday “For those wondering, yes, it is league-wide: fans at NFL games this season will be required to wear face coverings.”

Teams have been announcing their plans for the upcoming season in recent days, with the Giants and Jets announcing they won’t have fans in the stands, the Rams will unveil their new SoFi stadium “at limited or no capacity” this season, and the Falcons announced Wednesday that they will have a limited capacity of up to 10,000-20,000 at 2020 home games.

The regular season is still on track to proceed, while the league and NFLPA have agreed there will be no preseason games as the NFL navigates approaching the 2020 season amid the coronavirus pandemic.
