Washington Football Team Head Coach Ron Rivera has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma, located in a lymph node, the team announced Thursday after reports surfaced. The cancer was discovered following a self-care check from Rivera and is considered “very treatable” given detection at an early stage. The coach received a league-wide outpouring of support Thursday via social media, including from his former employer, the Carolina Panthers. For now, Rivera plans on navigating training camp in a business-as-usual fashion.
