• In a stunning turn of events, Greg Jamison missed another deadline in his bid to purchase the Phoenix Coyotes. Should fans in Seattle start saving up for season tickets?
• How does Seattle stack up as a possible NHL expansion/relocation site?
• Someone else will have to carry the groceries for Jason Spezza now that the Ottawa Senators' star is headed for back surgery..

• 2012 Calder finalist Adam Henrique is close to making his season debut for the New Jersey Devils. That might mark the end of the line for junior-eligible forward Stefan Matteau.

• Roberto Luongo pitches a shutout against the Avalanche on Wednesday night and now has better numbers this season than Cory Schneider. So who gets the start Friday night against Chicago? Says here you go with the hot hand.

• Columbus' three highest-paid forwards don't have a goal between them. How have the Jackets won twice?
• A spare part with the Kings, center Andrei Loktionov is looking for a trade. Los Angeles is loaded long-term down the middle, and Lokti's game doesn't translate to the wing. He might be a good fit for the Blue Jackets, a team that could use an actual center, or the Avs, who are missing Ryan O'Reilly and getting nothing out of Paul Stastny.
• A shake-up in the San Jose Sharks' ownership group could lead to a new presence shift among the NHL's power brokers.
• It's not the only reason the Florida Panthers are off to such a brutal start, but this string of injuries sure isn't helping.
