Blackhawks still rolling atop my Power Rankings

Captain Jonathan Toews and his record-smashing Blackhawks are bound to cool off, but when?

The SI.com NHL Power Rankings are starting to seem as fixed as a Tammany Hall election in the 1920s (look it up, kids). For the fifth straight week, we have the Chicago Blackhawks at the No.1 spot. Their Original Six brethren, the Boston Bruins, remain at No. 2 for the third week in a row with the Anaheim Ducks (3) and Pittsburgh Penguins (4) again on their tail.

The defending champion L.A. Kings made a nice jump on the list this week, cementing a great seven-day stretch with a convincing win over crosstown rival Anaheim on Monday night. And we have a new team at the bottom of the list.

Say it ain't so, Buffalo.

To the countdown...
