Penguins sign Christian Ehrhoff to a one-year, $4 million deal
The Pittsburgh Penguins have opened up free agency by signing former Buffalo Sabres defensemen Christian Ehrhoff to a one year deal worth $4 million, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
Ehrhoff became a free agency target just last week when he was bought out by Buffalo, and he did not last long on the market.
The Penguins were looking to fill some holes on defense after losing Brooks Orpik to the Washington Capitals, and with Matt Niskanen unlikely to re-sign with the team.
