The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed restricted free agent Devante Smith-Pelly to a two-year contract.
ESPN.com reports that the deal is worth $800,000 per season.
Smith-Pelly has spent all three of his NHL seasons with the Ducks. The 22-year-old played in 19 games last season, scoring two goals and adding eight assists. He added five goals in 12 playoff games.
"I’m pretty relieved to get it done. This is my first process going through something like this, so I wasn’t sure how long it would take," said Smith-Pelly, of his new contract.
The Ducks begin training camp practice on Friday. Anaheim won the Pacific Division last season before falling to the eventual Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference Semifinals.
