Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll said he hopes to play in at least one preseason game, Lisa Dillman of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Dillman also reports that Stoll had hip surgery on June 24 for an injury he believes he sustained during the Kings’ Western Conference finals against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Stoll is entering his 12th season in the NHL. Last season, Stoll had a plus-minus rating of 9, which was his highest since the 2009-10 season.

The Kings open the preseason on Monday with two split-squad games against the Phoenix Coyotes.
