Blackhawks wingers Patrick Sharp, Patrick Kane get stitches to face

Tuesday September 23rd, 2014

Chicago Blackhawks wingers Patrick Sharp and Patrick Kane both needed stitches after the Blackhawks' scrimmage Monday.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Sharp took a high stick from forward Matt Carey in the second period.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:

"They both got souvenirs, and it was nice to see them return,’’ coach Joel Quenneville said. "Didn’t really miss shifts, except for the work that was done on them. It happens. But the fact that it wasn’t a cause to miss time was — I don’t want to say it was a positive sign, but these things happen."
