Lightning rookie Jonathan Drouin out 3-4 weeks with fractured thumb
Drouin was the third selection in the 2013 draft and was expected to make the team's opening day roster.
Drouin was invited to training camp last season but did not make the team's roster. Pursuant to NHL rules, he was sent back to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he tallied 29 goals and 79 assists in 108 games.
The Lightning open the regular season on Oct. 9 against the Panthers at home.
