Jaden Schwartz signs two year deal for reported $4.7M with Blues

Restricted free agent Jaden Schwartz has signed a two-year deal with the Blues for a reported $4.7 million, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN.

Restricted free agent Jaden Schwartz has signed a two-year deal with the Blues for a reported $4.7 million, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN. 

Earlier in the day, it had been reported that the two sides were close to a deal.

The contract is for $2 million this season and $2.7 million next year. He is expected to join the Blues for practice on Monday.

The 22-year-old Schwartz returns to St. Louis after being drafted No. 14 overall by the franchise in 2010. Last year, he had 25 goals and 56 points in 80 games. Overall, in 132 regular season games, he has 34 goals and 72 points. In the postseason, he has one goal and four points in 12 Stanley Cup playoff appearances.
