Report: Bruins put former first-round pick Jordan Caron on waivers

The Bruins have placed forward Jordan Caron on waivers, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie

Caron, 23, was selected by Boston in the first round of the 2009 draft.

He appeared in 35 games last season, and was a healthy scratch on numerous occasions. When Caron did play, he had one goal and two assists in 10:55 of average ice time. 

During his four-year career, Caron has played 123 games and recorded a total of 28 points. Last season was his first with a negative plus-minus rating. He was a minus-8 and had 36 penalty minutes.

Caron signed a one-year contract worth $600,000 this summer.
