Blackhawks are betting favorites to win Stanley Cup

Las Vegas sportsbook Bovada released its odds for the upcoming NHL season on Wednesday and the Chicago Blackhawks are favored to win the Stanley Cup.

Chicago is given 13/2 odds to take home the championship. A four-way tie between the Ducks, Bruins, Blues and defending champion Kings rounds out the top five.

The Bruins, Kings and Blackhawks have won the last five Stanley Cups. The Ducks won in 2007, and the Blues have never won the trophy despite appearing in three straight cup Finals from 1968 to 1970.

The Rangers, who lost to the Kings in the Stanley Cup Final last season, are listed at 20/1.

At 40/1, the Blue Jackets have the lowest odds of any team which made the playoffs last season. The Maple Leafs, Canucks and Capitals have the best odds among non-playoff teams at 33/1.

Boston and Chicago are favored to win both their divisions and their conferences. The Penguins are 1/1 to win the Metropolitan Division and the Ducks and Kings are 7/4 to win the Pacific.
