Jets left winger Evander Kane will be out at least two weeks with a lower body injury, Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice said Sunday

Kane will be re-evaluated in two weeks, Maurice said, and will monitored on a week-to-week basis after that.

Maurice said he was initially fearful the injury was more serious. "To be quite honest with you, it's actually better news than I was expecting," he said.
