Red Wings goalie Jonas Gustavsson out for two months
Detroit Red Wings goalie Jonas Gustavsson will be absent from the team's lineup for approximately two months but is not at the moment facing surgery, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reported this afternoon.
Gustavsson suffered a dislocated left shoulder at the end of the Red Wings' 4-3 overtime loss to the New York Rangers on the road.
In three starts so far this season, the 30-year-old Gustavsson has gone 1-1-1, earning a .908 save percentage and a goals-against average of 2.3.

Gustavsson was injured reaching for a loose puck just before Derick Brassard of the Rangers hit it into the goal. Detroit general manager Ken Holland said the injury was serious.
"They had to pop it back in after the game," Holland said. "He's out quite a while. We're talking weeks; I don't know how many."
Holland said there was no surgery planned. Gustavsson will be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
The team has called up Petr Mrazek, who with the Grand Rapids Griffins has gone 1-2-0, tallying an .854 save percentage and a 3.8 goals-against average in four appearances.
"I think he's a real good goalie," coach Mike Babcock said of Mrazek.
"He's really good with the puck. He hasn't had the kind of start he's wanted in the American Hockey League. He's going to get an opportunity to play in a game that Gus was going to play and you have to show you can win in the league."
Mrazek was 2-4-0 with a 1.79 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage for the Red Wings last season. He earned shutouts against Edmonton and St. Louis.

The Red Wings are 6-3-4 and are currently tied for fourth in points in the Eastern Conference's Atlantic division. They host the New Jersey Devils (6-5-2) Friday at 7:30 pm EST.
