Top draft prospect Connor McDavid to get X-rays on hand after fight

Erie Otters forward and projected top NHL draft pick Connor McDavid left Tuesday's game against Mississauga with an apparent hand injury.
The OHL's leading scorer headed to the locker room after a scuffle with Bryson Ciafrone of the Steelheads in which he appears to have missed his target and punched the glass:

The 17-year-old McDavid is better known for putting up Sidney Crosby-esque numbers instead of dropping gloves. His first fight according to the team (a stat debated by some) was enough to send him to the hospital for X-rays:
Erie GM Sherry Bassin on McDavid "We don't even know if it's an injury. We're doing this as a precaution. Even if it was you we'd do this."

Along with OHL watchers, the Buffalo Sabres and Carolina Hurricanes are surely following updates on the situation.
