Watch: Calgary Hitmen collect 25,000 stuffed animals in Teddy Bear Toss

It's once again the time of year when hockey teams across North America hold Teddy Bear Tosses, collecting stuffed animals that have been thrown on the ice for charities.

Teddy Bear Toss no easy task for students at Cornell hockey game

​Ten different Western Hockey League teams held their own versions of the event over the weekend, but the Calgary Hitmenrecertified themselves as the kings on Sunday, collecting over 25,000 teddy bears after Philadelphia Flyers prospect Radel Fazleev lit the lamp 1:38 into the game​ against the Moosejaw Warriors. The shower of plush toys that followed was a sight to behold:

According to the team, the final count came in at 25,214 bears, all going to benefit over 60 local charities.
