In a frightening play by the Boston Bruins, Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews was forced out of the game after barreling head first into the boards.

Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg hit the unsuspecting Toews from behind as he was chasing the puck off the redirect in the Bruins' zone at 10:04 in the second period. Seidenberg may have been going for a clean check, but Toews was not able to get in a good position the absorb the blow.

Even though the Chicago star was visibly shaken, he was able to leave the ice unassisted. Toews did not return for the rest of the game for safety reasons.
