Friday December 19th, 2014

Montreal Canadiens left wing Max Pacioretty went the hospital after landing headfirst into the boards against the the Anaheim Ducks

A hit from behind by Ducks defenseman Clayton Stoner pushed Pacioretty nearly three feet across the ice and into the boards at 4:04 in the third period. Pacioretty, who only registered one shot in the 2-1 loss to the Ducks, left the game following the hit.

Stoner was not penalized for the late hit following the pass and is unlikely to face any post-game discipline.
