Even a guy as tough as Washington Capitals coach Barry Trotz can bleed sometimes.
In the first period of the Caps' tilt against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night, Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn checked Washington center Marcus Johansson into the boards in front of the Capitals’ bench, sending Johansson’s stick blade on a fast track to Trotz’s face.

Trotz was cut by Johansson's stick and bled from his eyebrow before a quick patch-up by Washington's trainers.
