Coyotes recall goalie Lee from Gwinnett

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) The Arizona Coyotes have recalled goalie Mike Lee from Gwinnett of the ECHL to serve as starter Mike Smith's backup.

Arizona traded backup Devan Dubnyk to Minnesota for a third-round draft pick on Wednesday and will give Lee the first shot at being Smith's backup.

The 24-year-old Lee was 1-3-1 with a 2.98 goals-against average and .897 save percentage in five games with the Gladiators this season.

Lee was originally a third-round pick by the Coyotes in the 2009 NHL draft.
