Islanders sport throwback Fisherman uniforms during pregame warmups

Don’t lie. You know you missed them. 

One of the most controversial jerseys in NHL history reappeared on the ice on Tuesday night, but to the happiness of many, only for warmups.

The New York Islanders brought back their Fisherman jerseys for pregame as they skated against the Panthers

The jerseys featured the team’s logo it used from 1995-97. However, the new jerseys were the NHL’s standard practice sweater, not the one that featured a teal wave with a white and orange outline. 

The jerseys were often mocked in the ‘90s as it looked nearly exactly like the Gorton’s Fisherman logo.
