Watch: Tom Gilbert trips Dustin Tokarski, Canadiens give up OT winner

It's bad enough to lose in overtime. It's even worse when it happens in embarrassing fashion, as the Canadiens learned in their loss to the Oilers on Thursday night.

Montreal Canadiens defenseman Tom Gilbert did a most embarrassing thing against the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday night.

In overtime, Gilbert accidentally tripped his goalie, Dustin Tokarski, while skating with Edmonton's Anton Lander. With Tokarski down for the count, Lander swatted in the game-winning goal to give the Oilers a 4-3 win.

Tokarski could only look on as Lander easily knocked in a rebound.

The goal was Landers' third of the season. The Oilers improved to 16-31-9 with the win, while the Canadiens fell to 35-15-4.
