Blackhawks' Patrick Kane surprises youth team with gear at practice

On the cusp of Valentine's Day, Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane still found himself in the giving spirit on Friday.

No. 88 dropped by the Chicago Stallions' practice, giving the entire youth team brand new Bauer 1X sticks.

The squirt team then got to practice with the NHL All-Star, something equally as cool as getting fresh equipment.

“Patrick Kane is one of my favorite players and I love the Blackhawks,” Stallions player Gianni Baglivo told the Chicago Sun-Times. “It’s a kid’s dream to play in the NHL when you play hockey, so this is like a dream.”

“Just to see the excitement on their face and how far along that goes with the kids today — it means the world," Kane said to CSN Chicago. ”It was fun to do, fun to see their reactions, they were all excited and surprised.”
