Versteeg took a stick to the chiclets at 1:35 in the second period of Chicago's game against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. Even though he was apparently hit unintentionally by Avalanche defenseman Brad Stuart, Versteeg thought the gap was worthy of a penalty.

The linesmen weren’t buying it, but at least Twitter was there to jump in with comic relief.

The half of a tooth that he lost was only holding Versteeg back, and he got his revenge by tying the game 1-1 at 9:55 in the second. No tooth, no problem.
