San Jose’s Melker Karlsson's 10th goal of the season was very confusing on first look, but further inspection makes the tally against the Canucks even better.

Matt Irwin’s blue line drive deflected off the glass behind the goal and landed in front of Karlsson, who was hauled down to his stomach in Ryan Miller’s crease. Karlsson showed some presence of mind and excellent reflexes to swipe the puck into the net, much to everyone's surprise.

While the play was perplexing at first glance, it's still not as confusing at what happened in Florida's crease on Tuesday.

Karlsson has 17 points in 35 games with the Sharks, who sent the Canucks to a 6-2 loss.
