Watch: Bolland, MacKenzie combine for flashy Panthers goal vs. Jets

Dave Bolland and Derek MacKenzie combined to create a fantastic goal for the Panthers against the Jets on Thursday. Bolland's pass led to MacKenzie's amazing finish.

It's hard to say which was more impressive—the pass or the finish.

Dave Bolland and Derek MacKenzie combined to create a fantastic goal for the Panthers during their game against the Jets on Thursday night. Near the end of the first period, Bolland corralled a loose puck and, facing away from Winnipeg's goal, slid a nifty pass past a Jets defender to a charging MacKenzie.

The puck appeared to be just out of MacKenzie's reach, but not wanting his teammate's flashy play to go to waste, he dove to the ice and went full extension to grab the puck, quickly flipping it in past a startled Michael Hutchinson in Jets' goal.

Hutchinson didn't have a chance.

The tally was the first of the game, giving Florida a 1-0 lead in a game it went on to win 4-2. Aleksander Barkov scored the go-ahead goal with just under four minutes remaining in the game, and the Panthers added an empty-netter for good measure.

The Panthers improved to 30-23-14 with the win. The Jets fell to 33-23-12.
