Jets sign D Jan Kostalek for 3-year deal

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) The Winnipeg Jets have signed defenseman Jan Kostalek to a three-year, two-way entry-level contract.

In the deal announced Thursday, the 20-year-old Kostalek will earn an average of $850,000 per season.

Kostalek, in his third Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season with the Rimouski Oceanic, has seven goals and 36 assists in 55 games this season.

He was selected by the Jets in the fourth round of the 2013 NHL draft.
