Penguins Kris Letang 'not likely' to play for rest of season
Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is unlikely to play anymore this season, general manager Jim Rutherford told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
“Based on his present condition,” Rutherford told the newspaper, “it's not likely he'd return this year.”
A separate report from Dejan Kovacevic cited Rutherford as saying Letang would definitely not play again this season, even if Pittsburgh makes a deep run in the playoffs.

At 42-27-12, Pittsburgh currently holds the eighth and final Eastern Conference playoff spot with one game remaining in the regular season.
Letang suffered a concussion on Mar. 28 against Arizona when Coyotes' right-wing Shane Doan checked him in to the boards.
In 69 games with the Penguins this season Letang scored 11 goals and 43 assists, both career highs.
Pittsburgh is 1-4-1 during the six games Letang has missed. Letang has a history of concussions.
