CALGARY, Alberta (AP) Vancouver Canucks forward Alexandre Burrows is out for Game 4 of the playoffs against Calgary after injuring his upper body during the morning skate.

The team said on Twitter on Tuesday that he was taken to the hospital as a precaution but did not elaborate on the injury. The 34-year-old player was in obvious pain when he was hurt and left the ice quickly.

Burrows has two assists in three playoff games, with Vancouver trailing the first-round series 2-1. He had 18 goals and 15 assists during the season.

The Canucks called up forward Sven Baertschi. He was acquired from Calgary at the March 2 trade deadline for a second-round draft pick.
