RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) The Anaheim Ducks acquired goalie Anton Khudobin from the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday in exchange for defenseman James Wisniewski.

The move came shortly after the Hurricanes added goalie Eddie Lack in a trade with Vancouver.

Carolina general manager Ron Francis says Wisniewski is ''a veteran defenseman who has proven his ability to produce offensively'' and says he'll be a big part of the team's power play and defensive units.

Wisniewski, 31, was a healthy scratch during the playoffs. He had five assists in 13 games with Anaheim after coming over in March in a trade with Columbus.

Khudobin split time with Cam Ward in each of the past two seasons. He went 27-31-7 with a 2.50 goals-against average with Carolina and went 8-17-6 last season.
