Buffalo Sabres center Ryan O’Reilly, was arrested by police in Canada and charged with driving while impaired by alcohol, Ontario Provincial Police announced Monday. He was also charged with fleeing the scene of an accident.

O’Reilly was arrested after he was involved in a single-car crash in Lucan, Ont., shortly after 4 a.m. on Thursday. “A green Chevrolet pickup truck struck a commercial retail building,” police said in a press release. O’Reilly posted a photo on Instagram several weeks ago of a vintage green Chevy truck with the caption “Got my new truck.”

The business O’Reilly allegedly struck was a Tim Horton’s, according to Ontario radio station AM980.

Police said O’Reilly and an unspecified number of passengers left the scene of the crash. The truck was found later and O’Reilly was found walking on a nearby street.

O’Reilly’s blood-alcohol content was found to be over Ontario’s legal limit of .08% and he was charged with driving while impaired.

O’Reilly signed a seven-year, $52 million contract with the Sabres earlier this month after being acquired in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche
