The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with restricted free-agent forward Tomas Jurco, the team announced on Friday.

MLive.com reports that the deal is worth an average of $900,000 per season.

The Red Wings drafted Jurco in the second round of the 2011 NHL draft. He made his NHL debut in 2013–14 and played his first full season in 2014–15.

In 64 games last season for Detroit, Jurco totaled 18 points in 11:31 of average ice time.

Earlier this week, the Red Wings announced they agreed to terms on a one-year contract with right wing Teemu Pulkkinen.

MUIR: Hiring Lamoriello as GM a risky move by Maple Leafs

Detroit finished 43–25–14 last season. In May, head coach Mike Babcock left to take the same job with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Red Wings have since hired Jeff Blashill as their new head coach.
