In hockey, you always want to thank your teammate for a sweet pass.

On Tuesday night, Carolina Hurricanes Victor Rask had to thank Red Wings goalie Petr Mrazek for some help.

In the second period of a scoreless game, Mrazek skated out of the net for a clearing attempt that did not go in his favor, as Rask stole the puck and easily shot into an empty net. The Hurricanes went on to win 3–1.

Mrazek, in his third NHL season, was 2–2 with a .925 save percentage entering Tuesday’s game.

Rask’s goal will be scored as unassisted, but the video doesn’t lie.

Rask has three goals and an assist through nine games this season.
