Canadiens goalie Carey Price out one week with lower-body injury

Sunday November 1st, 2015

Montreal Canadiens starting goaltender Carey Price will be out of action for a week after sustaining a lower-body injury in the team’s 4-3 loss to Edmonton Thursday.

Habs head coach Michel Therrien told the media at morning skate the injury was not serious. “He had some treatment and said Friday morning that he had some amount of pain, so the medical staff didn’t take any chance and kept him off the ice.”

In nine starts on the season, Price is tied for the league lead with seven wins, is fifth with a .936 save percentage, and 10th with a 2.01 goals-against average.
