Watch: Kessel shoots puck off crossbar and into Penguins' bench
Phil Kessel ripped a shot past Canucks goalie Ryan Miller and off the crossbar, sending the puck through the air and into the Penguins’ bench.
Playing against Phil Kessel should really come with a warning label, at least after what happened in Wednesday night’s game against the Vancouver Canucks.
The Penguins created a nice scoring chance when Evgeni Malkin and Kessel skated into the Canucks' zone against defenseman Dan Hamhuis. Kessel took a feed from Malkin and shot a rocket past goalie Ryan Miller and clanged off the top right corner of the crossbar.
Yes, literally a rocket, because the puck flew about 40 feet backwards and into Pittsburgh’s bench.

Luckily no one appeared to be hurt after the play, though someone may want to check on the crossbar.
