Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon scored a goal for the highlight reel, deking out Rangers D Dan Girardi along the boards and sniping a shot past Henrik Lundqvist.

Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon announced his presence with authority against the visiting New York Rangers on Friday night at the Pepsi Center.
The third-year forward and 2013 first-overall draft pick danced his way around Rangers defender Dan Girardimaneuvering his way toward the net, catching blueliner Ryan McDonagh flat-footed. The 20-year-old former Calder Trophy winner finished if off by sneaking a shot from the goalline past Henrik Lundqvist.
