Stars’ Fiddler scores on backhand shot from corner vs. Maple Leafs
Dallas Stars forward Vernon Fiddler tossed a rising backhand shot toward the net from the corner, and somehow it found its way behind Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer.

It would be interesting to ask Dallas Stars center Vernon Fiddler if he called “money” on his backhanded goal during Tuesday night’s against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
With the game tied 1–1 in the third period, Fiddler skated down to the corner and threw a backhand shot from the corner.
Well, geometry doesn’t always make sense, kids, as Maple Leafs goalie James Reimer found out.
What an absurd angle to score on the backhand. Leafs! pic.twitter.com/N0iPCr0RV5

Call it skills or luck, whatever it was, the 35-year-old still has it, along with his second goal of the season.
