New Jersey Devils forward Patrik Elias will make his season debut Wednesday after being activated from injured reserve.

Elias, 39, missed the first 20 games of the season recovering from a right knee injury. The Devils host the Columbus Blue Jackets Wednesday night, and the franchise’s all-time leader in goals and assists will return to the ice.

Sportsnet reported Elias skated on a line with Jacob Josefson and Stefan Matteau at practice Wednesday afternoon.

The Devils are 11–8–1 and in fourth place in the Metropolitan Division.
