Watch: Barkov’s shootout goal propels Panthers past Islanders

Aleksander Barkov scored the game-winning shootout goal on Friday night to lift the Panthers past the Islanders

The Islanders and Panthers were locked at 2–2 at the end of overtime.

In the shootout, the two teams matched each other for four rounds. Shooters had the heavy edge, with nine out 10 players converting during the tiebreaker.

Aleksander Barkov’s nice move on his goal became the winner for Florida.

In five rounds of one-on-one, only one save was recorded, which was Florida’s Roberto Luongo off New York’s Brock Nelson.

The Panthers improved to 9-9-4, while the Islanders fell to 11-8-4.
