Ducks awaken the force for Star Wars Night at the Honda Center

The Honda Center transformed into a different galaxy, one far, far away on Wednesday night, when the Anaheim Ducks hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Honda Center transformed into a different galaxy, one far, far away on Wednesday night, when the Anaheim Ducks hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Wednesday’s game marked Star Wars Night in Anaheim. Fans had the opportunity to meet characters from the movies and see captain Ryan Getzlaf looking mean and tough with his lightsaber.

Ducks fans dressed as Star Wars characters were able to purchase a second ticket for half price. In accordance with the arena’s ‘no weapons’ policy, lightsabers and blasters had to be left at home, even for those defending against the Dark Side. The Ducks even made a movie trailer for the big event, and made sure fans knew exactly who the good guys were.
