Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane ties Bobby Hull’s franchise-record point streak

Patrick Kane extended his point streak to 21 games on Thursday night in the Blackhawks’ loss to the Senators, tying the franchise record set by Bobby Hull.

Hockey fans witnessed history Thursday night in Ottawa as Chicago Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane tied a record set by one of the all-time greats.

Kane’s power-play goal early in the second period of Chicago’s game against the Senators extended his point streak to 21 games, tying Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull for the longest streak in franchise history.

The 27-year-old winger has racked up 13 goals and 20 assists for 33 points during the streak, which dates to Oct. 17. “Showtime” now has 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points on the season, putting him in the league lead in points and assists. He has been held without a point just two times in 26 games.

Chicago went on to fall to the Senators 4–3 in overtime.

Kane will look to break the franchise record on Sunday when the Blackhawks return home to host the Winnipeg Jets.
