Watch: Alex Ovechkin breaks out toe drag, snipes goal vs. Lightning
Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin and a highlight reel goal: they just go together.
It was business as usual for the Gr8 when he turned on the speed and the finesse with the Caps on a power play in the third period, deking around Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Anton Stralman and made no mistake in sniping a shot glove-side past goalie Ben Bishop.

It was Ovi’s second of the game and his 16th of the season. A six-time 50-goal scorer, he’s tied for sixth in the league in goal scoring, but it’s always hard to count out a guy with such slick moves.
The goal stood as the decisive one as the Caps took down the Bolts with the 82nd regular-season game-winner of his career, third most among active players and tied for 23rd all-time.
