The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins are set to face off in the NHL’s annual New Year’s Day outdoor showcase.

This year, the Winter Classic takes places at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. The 20–12 Bruins play host to the 21–15 Canadiens, the former just one point behind in the Atlantic Division and the latter in the midst of a 2–8 skid in their last 10 games.

Boston has gotten strong play from forwards David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron, as well as Tuukka Rask in net this season. Montreal counters with star defenseman P.K. Subban, but will miss the injured Carey Price between the pipes, with Mike Condon handling duties in his stead.
