The ice provided some help for Arizona Coyotes winger Shane Doan during Tuesday’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

In the second period Tuesday night, the Coyotes captain sent a simple and powerless-looking shot towards the net. Doan’s effort would turn into a goal, as the puck hopped off the ice, flying past the glove of Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford.

Doan picked up his ninth goal and 15th point of the season. The 39-year-old later scored again in the third period.

Hopefully the 19-year veteran has played long enough to know he should have called “bounce” before the shot.
